This product is made from high quality local and imported herbs organically planted and harvested. It has been formulated by Iran Darouk Pharmaceuticals.
Concurrent use of Ascorphyt with estrogen drugs and contraceptives, causes increase in the therapeutic effects of these drugs and may occur side effects.
The concurrent use of Fluphenazine with Vitamin C reduces the therapeutic effects of this drug.
Individuals under the treatment with anti-coagulant drugs should not receive high doses of Vitamin C over a long term treatment period, because it decreases the therapeutic effects of drugs such as warfarin, Lepirudin, and Heparin.
Concomitant use of Deferoxamine and herbal medicines containing iron and iron-containing plants with vitamin C may increase the toxicity of tissue with iron.
High doses of ascorbic acid increases the pH of the small intestine causing interfering with B12 absorption.
Consumption of high doses of vitamin C increases the absorption of iron.
Store in a dry place, keep away from direct sunlight and below 25 °C.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Disposal
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose in the everyday rubbish bin.
Who NOT to take it
• Individuals with a history of allergic reactions against Malpighiaceae species or vitamin C.
• Patients with a history of recurrent urinary stone formation (oxalate, urate, and cysteine types).
• Patients who have to take fecal occult blood test.
• Individuals on a sodium restricted diet or individuals being treated with anticoagulant drugs should not receive high doses of vitamin C over a long-term treatment period.
• High doses of ascorbic acid cause hemolysis in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiencies.
• Children and young people under 18 years old should not take this product.
Precautions:
• In order to discontinue high-dose vitamin C products, gradual reduction should be initiated.
• The need for vitamin C increases in patients with chronic diseases, diseases accompanying fevers, blood vessel disorders, and going through wound healing.
• In people who smoke need to ascorbic acid increases.
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, fatigue, abdominal cramps, insomnia, sediment in the joints due to gout disease (due to the increase of Uric acid) and diarrhea (at doses equal to or higher than 1 g). In high doses, vitamin C might increase the chance of urate, oxalate, and cysteine kidney stones in patients with a history of stone formation.
As there is not enough evidence, the use of this drug is NOT recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
