Indications:

Administration and Dosage: 

Take 2 tablets 3 times a day. For best results, take them after a meal with water or fruit juice.

Drug interactions: 

Saw Palmetto is believed to exert estrogen, androgen and alpha-adrenergic blocking effects. Because of this, the use of hormones, hormone-like drugs or adrenergic drugs concomitantly may need to be adjusted.
This drug may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with drugs that increase the risk of bleeding such as aspirin, anticoagulants, antiplatelet and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Contraindications and precautions: 

Things you must do‎ 
•    Consult a physician before taking this drug, if it is used concurrently with other medication to treat BPH.
•    Before taking this medication, make sure that you do not have prostate cancer, as the usage of this drug may mask cancer symptoms.
•    This drug should be used only in men over 18 years old.

‎Things to be careful of‎ 
•    Patients with a history of hormone-related cancers should consult with their physician before taking this drug.
•    The use of this drug on an empty stomach may cause nausea and abdominal problems. 
•    The drug is contraindicated in women and people under 18 years of age.
  
Side effects 
This drug can cause minor side effects such as belching, stomach discomfort and allergic reactions such as skin rashes.
 

Use during pregnancy and lactation: 

Using Easy Flow during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended due to its potential hormonal effects.

Mechanism of Action: 
By the age of 70, about 80% of men have an enlarged prostate and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) causes urinary problems. Prostatic enlargement depends on the potent androgen dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In the prostate gland, type II 5-alpha-reductase metabolizes circulating testosterone into DHT. DHT binds to androgen receptors in the cell nuclei, potentially resulting in BPH. The lipophilic extract of Saw palmetto inhibits binding of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to cytosolic androgenic receptors and alpha 1-adreonceptor in the prostate, thus preventing accumulation of the steroid, which may lead to prostate hyperplasia. Anti-androgenic effects of the lipophilic extract also includes 5-alpha-reuctase and 3-ketosteroid reductase inhibition. So, Easy Flow by inhibiting 5-alpha-reuctase relieves BPH urinary problems such as frequent urination, dysuria, painful urination, nocturia and inability to empty the bladder completely. Moreover, the hexane extract of the herb have demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity.  
Active Ingredients and Components : 
Easy Flow is made from the extract of Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens L.) fruit. Each tablet contains 115 mg standardized dry extract of Saw Palmetto fruit. Active ingredients include: free Fatty Acids, Flavonoids, Sterols (Beta-sitosterol and Beta-sitosterol-3-O-Glucosides).
