Empty the contents of the sachet into a large glass of water, mix well and drink.
• For adults: Take 1 to 2 sachets a day.
• Children between 6-12 years old: 1 sachet a day.
• Children between 3-6 years old: It is recommended consult with a doctor.
This product is made from high quality local and imported herbs organically planted and harvested. It has been formulated by Iran Darouk Pharmaceuticals.
• Concurrent use of this drug with anti-diabetes medications may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
• Avoid concurrent use of this drugs with liquorice due to increasing the risk of hypokalemia.
• Psyllium husk decreases absorbance of some minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, Iron, copper and zinc), vitamin B12, cardiac glycosides and coumarin derivatives.
• Concurrent use of psyllium husk with lithium salts decreases the plasma concentration of Lithium and prevents absorption of Lithium in the digestive tract. Dosing adjustments may be necessary.
• Psyllium husk may decrease the rate and the amount of Carbamazepine absorption.
Store in a dry place, keep away from direct sunlight, below 25 °C.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Disposal
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose in the everyday rubbish bin.
When NOT to take it
• Ficolax plus should not be used in intestinal obstruction, pancreatitis, asthma, rectal bleeding with unknown origin, ulcers and any adhesion in digestive tract (or GI obstruction), nausea, vomiting, drug hypersensitivity, hypertension, throat problems and difficulty swallowing.
• Avoid taking this drug if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients.
• Individuals with special condition or under special medication, consult with a healthcare professional before use.
Precautions
• Consume at least 6-8 glasses of water per day to help soften the stool and prevent dehydration. This is important due to excessive excretion of water in the stool.
• This medicine interferes with the absorption of other medicines in the two hours following ingestion. So, other medicines should be used at least two hours after taking this product.
• In case allergic reactions occur (Sneeze, wheezing, tightness in the chest or throat) discontinue use and consult your physician.
• Use with caution in patients with bleeding disorders.
Side effects
Temporary indigestion and flatulence may be experienced at the beginning of treatment, but they will be alleviated by continuing the treatment. Allergic reactions to this drug have also been reported.
This drug should be used under physician’s prescription during pregnancy and lactation.
