• This tablet should not be taken with iron supplements as it prevents iron absorption.
• The Green Mince tablet increases the effect of penicillin and benzyl penicillin, and amplifies the effects of aspirin and other anticoagulants such as warfarin, clopidogrel and antiplatelet drugs.
• The sedative effects of such drugs as diazepam, clonazepam, triazolam, zopiclone, or pentobarbital are reduced due to the caffeine in the green tea.
• The consumption of caffeine present in green tea slightly increases the blood pressure of some people who take such medications as propranolol and metoprolol.
• Avoid concurrent use of green tea with Mono Amino Oxidase Inhibitor drugs (MAOIs) such as tranylcypromin and phenelzine.
• In case of concurrent use of lithium and the caffeine present in the tablet, serum concentrations of lithium decrease.
• The caffeine present in the tablet interferes with oral contraceptives, cimetidine, verapamil, disulfiram, fluconazole, phenylpropanolamine, and antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, as these drugs amplify the stimulating effects of caffeine.
• Concurrent use of this drug with alcohol, increase caffeine level and its side effects.
• Use this drug with caution, if you are taking cimetidine, Dipyridamole, stimulant drugs (such as nicotine), ephedrine, estrogens, drugs with the risk of liver toxicity, fluvoxamine, mexiletine, midazolam, riluzole and theophylline.
Keep medicine away from light, in a dry place, and below 25°C
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Disposal
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose in the everyday rubbish bin.
When NOT to take it
• Avoid taking this drug in children and individuals with a history of high eye pressure.
Things you must do
• Individuals with a history of migraine should consult their physician.
• To be taken with caution in patients with a history of heart, kidney, liver and digestive problems, diabetes, hyperthyroid and psychiatric disorders such as anxiety.
• Avoid taking this drug if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients.
• Individuals with special condition or under special medication, consult with a healthcare professional before use.
Things you must not do
• Do not use higher doses than that recommended.
Side effects
Digestive problems such as hyperacidity, gastric irritation, diarrhea or constipation and also mild muscle pain have been reported with the use of this tablet.
Excessive consumption of caffeine which is present in green tea and some of its extracts can cause such symptoms as irritability, headache, mild dizziness, insomnia and restlessness in some people.
Green tea may also lower the levels of such hormones as testosterone, estradiol, and insulin in the blood.
Avoid taking this drug during pregnancy and lactation.
