Adults: 1-4 lozenges daily
This product is made from high quality local and imported herbs organically planted and harvested. It has been formulated by Iran Darouk Pharmaceuticals.
Concomitant use with this drug may cause a decrease in levels of thyroid drugs.
In case of concomitant use with hormone medications, it may interfere with the activity of estrogen and progesterone hormone receptors.
It may increase the absorption of 5-fluorouracil.
Concomitant use of deferoxamine, iron-containing herbal drugs and this drug (containing acerola extract) may increase tissue toxicity with iron.
Patients treated with anticoagulants should not receive high doses of this product for a long period of time due to its natural vitamin C content, because it reduces the therapeutic effects of such drugs as abciximab, lepirudin, heparin, clopidogrel.
Concomitant use of fluofenazine with this drug reduces its therapeutic effects.
Patients taking this drug should consult their physician or pharmacist before taking further vitamin C supplements.
Concomitant use of estrogenic drugs and contraceptives increases the therapeutic effects of these drugs and can have adverse effects.
Store below 25°C, keep away from direct sunlight and avoid from freezing.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Disposal
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose of in the everyday rubbish bin.
Side effects
In some patients may cause irritation of gastrointestinal mucous membrane, menstrual spotting, and contact dermatitis in case of contact with the skin, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramp, insomnia and accumulation in the joints in patients with gout (due to increased uric acid levels).
High doses may cause diarrhea and also patients with a history of kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) should not take high doses of acerola because large doses of vitamin C in acerola may cause the production of urate, cysteine, or oxalate stones.
When NOT to take it
Not to be used in cases of severe digestive problems, or history of allergy to thyme, acerola or vitamin C.
Avoid concomitant use of this drug with antacid products due to the presence of iron in thyme.
Not to be used by patients with a history of recurrent renal calculi (oxalate and cysteine).
Not to be used by patients with fecal occult blood test.
Patients with the sodium restricted diet and individuals treated with anticoagulants should not take high doses of this drug.
High doses of this drug (containing acerola) has caused hemolysis in patients with glucose 4-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
To discontinue high doses of this drug, it needs to be gradually tapered.
High doses of this drug may interfere the absorption of vitamin B12 by increasing the pH of the small intestine.
High doses of this drug increase the absorption of iron.
Not to be used by individuals under 18 years of age.
Avoid taking this drug during pregnancy and lactation.
